Indian River Cruises1. Do you get wet?

No. In addition to seating on the forward deck, there is a fully enclosed pilot house .

2. Is there a restroom?

Yes.

3. How do I dress, and what do I need to bring?

Dress comfortably and bring sunglasses and sunscreen for the lunch and afternoon sails. You may want to bring a camera as we often see dolphin, manatee and bird life.

4. Do we need to take off our shoes?

No. You can if you’d like, just don’t wear high heels or shoes that will mark up the decks.

5. Do you serve drinks?

Yes. We offer complimentary soft drinks and bottled water. In addition, beer, wine and wine coolers are available for a nominal price.

6. Is lunch served on the lunch cruise?

Yes. Individual orders will be taken when you reserve a spot for a lunch cruise. High quality deli sandwiches and chips are delivered to the boat just prior to departure.

We accept cash, Mastercard and Visa.

8. What happens if the weather is bad?

We will make every attempt to contact you ahead of time to either reschedule or cancel the trip. Credit cards will not be charged due to inclement weather. If a dinner cruise is scheduled and the weather doesn’t permit leaving the dock, we will transition into “dock party mode” and you will be charged only for the dinner portion of the trip.

9. Do we actually sail or do we motor the whole trip?

We make every attempt to sail for as much of the trip as possible. That said, if it makes more sense given prevailing wind conditions, we, on occasion will motor/sail one direction and sail back.

10. What about children?

Children (6) years old and above will be permitted on the boat. In addition, they will be required to wear a life vest, that is provided, if they are under 90lbs. This is a Coast Guard regulation.

11. Will I get seasick?

Whereas everyone has a different level of tolerance for motion sickness, the boat is exceptionally stable and people don’t get seasick.

12. Is this appropriate for my elderly parents?

Yes. All the decks are on one level. So far the oldest person on board was 92.
